Role Description The Donor Relations Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for managing relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic institutions, ensuring timely communication, stewardship, and acknowledgment of contributions.

The Donor Relations

Manager will plan and implement annual giving campaigns, maintain donor databases, track engagement, and prepare regular reports on fundraising activities and impact. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating donor meetings and visits, drafting proposals and impact reports,



collaborating with program teams to gather stories and data, and supporting events and outreach initiatives. The role also involves identifying new funding opportunities, strengthening donor retention, and ensuring that all engagement reflects Sevalaya’s mission and values.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in Donor Relations and Donor Management, with a focus on cultivating and sustaining long-term partnerships.
- Knowledge of Annual Giving programs and Philanthropy practices, including campaign planning and donor stewardship strategies.
- Strong Project Management skills to coordinate fundraising activities, events, and reporting timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear proposals, impact reports, and donor communications.
- Proficiency in using CRM or donor management systems and basic office productivity tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and engage with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the nonprofit or social development sector, especially in fundraising or external relations, is preferred.
