Role Overview The Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineer will build the tools, templates, scripts, and AI agent configurations that help development teams adopt consistent, efficient, and secure AI-first engineering practices.

The role focuses on configuring agentic coding tools, creating reusable prompt and rules files, integrating MCP servers, automating developer workflows, and validating tooling before rollout. Candidates must demonstrate that their tools or automation have been adopted by other developers—not merely that they personally use AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Build reusable developer templates, scripts, agent configurations, rules files, and MCP integrations.
- Configure and integrate AI coding tools into developer workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop automation using Python, Node.js, and related scripting technologies.
- Support Git and Azure DevOps (ADO) workflows and pipeline integrations.
- Create reusable configurations for tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and OutSystems Mentor.
- Test and validate templates, agent configurations, and scripts before rollout.
- Maintain version control for prompts, configuration files, and developer tooling.
- Measure adoption, gather developer feedback, troubleshoot issues, and improve the developer experience.





Mandatory Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of overall qualified experience in developer tooling, DevEx, automation, platform engineering, or a related technical role.
- At least 1 year of hands-on AI-assisted delivery.
- Practical experience with multiple agentic coding tools and their configurations.
- Scripting skills in Python and/or Node.js.
- Experience with Git, source control, and Azure DevOps pipelines or equivalent CI/CD tooling.
- Ability to create reusable templates, scripts, agent rules, and developer configurations.
- Experience integrating tools into development workflows.
- Ability to test tooling before rollout and maintain version-controlled prompts and configurations.
- Evidence that other developers or teams have used the candidate's tooling or automation.

Preferred Skills

- OutSystems development tooling and OutSystems Mentor.
- Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or OpenCode configuration.
- MCP servers and Model Context Protocol integrations.
- Experience building reusable developer productivity tools across multiple teams.
- Experience measuring tool adoption and improving developer workflows.
