Job Summary

GVPL Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled Design Engineer – Static Equipment with 2–4 years of relevant experience in the design and engineering of pressure vessels and heat exchangers. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of pressure vessel design codes, mechanical design calculations, engineering drawings, and industry-standard design software.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform mechanical design and engineering of static equipment, primarily pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
- Prepare design calculations for shell, heads, nozzles, flanges, supports, and other pressure-retaining components.
- Work with applicable design codes and standards, including ASME Section VIII Division 1, ASME Section II, and TEMA, as applicable to the project.
- Carry out thickness calculations, pressure design checks, and reinforcement calculations for openings and nozzles.
- Support thermal and mechanical design activities for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, including coordination with thermal design teams.
- Prepare and review equipment datasheets, design calculation reports, general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, and bill of materials.
- Perform design verification based on operating conditions, design pressure, design temperature, material specifications, and corrosion allowance.
- Coordinate with process, piping, stress analysis, fabrication, quality,



and project engineering teams.
- Incorporate client comments and revise calculations and drawings in accordance with project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, quality requirements, and project delivery schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in static equipment design.
- Practical experience in pressure vessel and heat exchanger design.
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and TEMA standards.
- Understanding of pressure vessel components, materials, welding, nozzle design, and fabrication requirements.
- Experience in design calculations, technical documentation, and engineering drawing review.
- Working knowledge of relevant design software, such as PV Elite, Compress, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D CAD tools is an advantage.
- Valuable analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, process industries, chemical plants, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Exposure to client specifications, vendor drawings, technical bid evaluation, and design review.
- Familiarity with ASME, TEMA, API, and relevant material standards.
- Knowledge of fabrication, inspection, and quality requirements for static equipment.
