Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for medical and non-medical materials, consumables, equipment, and hospital supplies.

- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing, quality products, and favourable payment terms.

- Coordinate with hospital departments to understand purchase requirements and ensure timely procurement.

- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, and comparative statements.

- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and evaluate vendor performance.

- Monitor purchase budgets, expenditure, and cost-saving opportunities.

- Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policies, approval procedures, and quality standards.

- Coordinate with stores, finance, user departments, and suppliers to resolve procurement and delivery issues.

- Monitor pending orders, delivery schedules, and material availability to prevent stock shortages.

- Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts,



and procurement documentation for audits.

- Support inventory control, contract management, and standardization of materials.

- Supervise purchase team activities and prepare periodic procurement reports for management.

Educational Qualification

- Graduate in any discipline; a degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.

- MBA / PG Diploma in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in purchase or materials management.

- Experience in hospital procurement or the healthcare industry is preferred.

- Previous experience handling vendor negotiations, procurement documentation, and team coordination is desirable.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
