We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Deputy Manager Production to manage and supervise aeroponics-based potato minituber production. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, crop management, nutrient and irrigation management, disease prevention, quality control, team supervision, and ensuring optimal yield in a controlled growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Planning: Plan and manage the complete potato minituber production cycle using aeroponics technology.
- Aeroponics System Management: Supervise aeroponic systems, including root-zone misting, nutrient delivery, irrigation scheduling, and environmental controls.
- Crop Management: Monitor potato plant growth, root development, tuber initiation, and harvesting schedules.
- Nutrient Management: Prepare and monitor nutrient solutions, pH, EC, water quality, and nutrient delivery systems.
- Climate Control: Monitor temperature, humidity, ventilation, and other environmental parameters to maintain optimal growing conditions.
- Disease and Pest Management: Implement preventive measures, crop monitoring, sanitation, and integrated pest and disease management practices.
- Quality Control: Ensure the production of healthy, uniform, disease-free potato minitubers while maintaining traceability and production records.
- Team Management: Lead and train production staff, assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Harvesting and Post-Harvest Handling: Oversee tuber harvesting, grading, counting, disinfection where applicable, storage, and dispatch.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of aeroponic systems, pumps, filters, misting nozzles, sensors,



and nutrient tanks.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain daily production reports, crop health records, input consumption, yield data, and inventory records.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve minituber yield, survival rate, production efficiency, and cost control.

Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant experience in potato seed production, plant tissue culture, protected cultivation, or soilless farming will be preferred.

Required Experience and Skills
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in agricultural production, preferably in potato minituber production or aeroponics.
- Strong knowledge of potato crop physiology, seed potato production, and tuber development.
- Practical experience in aeroponics, hydroponics, greenhouse operations, or other controlled-environment cultivation systems.
- Knowledge of nutrient management, fertigation, pH/EC monitoring, and water quality.
- Understanding of plant diseases, pest management, crop hygiene, and seed quality standards.
- Strong team leadership, planning, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage production targets, maintain records, and improve operational efficiency.
