Job Title: Deputy Manager – Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager – Operations to oversee warehouse and supply chain operations, ensuring seamless execution of daily activities, operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and workforce productivity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Grocery/FMCG and E-commerce sectors, with a strong understanding of warehouse management and 3PL operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and outbound logistics.
- Drive operational excellence by monitoring and improving warehouse productivity, service levels, and cost efficiency.
- Lead and manage a workforce of 300–400 associates, supervisors, and support staff.
- Ensure adherence to inventory control processes and maintain high inventory accuracy levels.
- Monitor and achieve key operational KPIs, including productivity, quality, safety, turnaround time, and customer service metrics.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain, Transportation, Procurement, and Vendor Management to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee 3PL warehouse operations and ensure compliance with agreed service-level standards.




- Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance operational performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and statutory regulations within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular reviews, audits, and team performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in warehouse and supply chain operations.
- Strong experience in the Grocery/FMCG industry.
- Hands-on experience managing large teams/workforces of 300–400 personnel.
- Proven experience in E-commerce warehouse operations.
- Sound understanding of 3PL warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent people management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and operational reporting tools.
