Purpose/Objective

The Dy manager - Production leads the development and management of production schedules, ensuring that timelines align with demand forecasts.

They troubleshoot complex technical issues, work with cross-functional teams to implement long-term solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

They oversee equipment selection and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The senior engineer leads quality control efforts, ensuring products meet regulatory and internal standards, and mentors junior engineers in safety, troubleshooting, and process improvement techniques.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Production Scheduling: Independently develop and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts and historical data, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Collaborate with various departments, such as procurement and quality control, to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.

Analyze production performance against the schedule, adjusting timelines and workflows to meet changes in demand or unforeseen challenges.

Problem Solving & Analytical Skills: Analyze and solve complex technical issues that arise in production, such as equipment failures, process inefficiencies, or material defects.

Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering and maintenance, to develop and implement long-term solutions to recurring technical problems.

Lead the development of technical solutions that drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and ensure product quality.

Equipment Selection & Maintenance: Lead the selection of advanced manufacturing equipment, assessing the technical specifications, production capacity, and safety standards.

Oversee the preventive maintenance strategy for critical equipment, ensuring it is performed according to plan and minimizing downtime during production.

Monitor the performance of key equipment,



analyzing failure trends and implementing proactive maintenance solutions to enhance equipment longevity.

Lean Manufacturing: Lead lean manufacturing initiatives across the production floor, identifying areas for waste reduction and implementing continuous improvement strategies.

Develop and implement comprehensive lean strategies that optimize process flow, reduce costs, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.

Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on lean methodologies, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.

Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency: Lead process improvement projects aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and improving the overall efficiency of production processes.

Use Six Sigma methodologies and other process improvement tools to drive data-driven decisions that result in measurable improvements in production performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process changes are successfully implemented and sustained.

Quality Control: Develop and implement robust quality control systems, ensuring that all products meet stringent specifications and regulatory standards.

Lead quality audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement in both product quality and process reliability.

Work closely with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues, implementing corrective actions and monitoring their effectiveness.

Safety Procedures: Take ownership of safety procedures on the production floor, ensuring that all activities comply with both internal safety standards and industry regulations.

Lead regular safety audits,



identifying and mitigating any potential risks or hazards in the manufacturing environment.

Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, fostering a proactive safety culture that minimizes accidents and injuries.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and production staff, overseeing task execution, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives.

Ensure that team members are effectively trained and equipped with the necessary skills to meet production goals and quality standards.

Manage team performance, providing feedback and support to optimize productivity and address any operational challenges.

Educational Background: Be/B.

Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in advanced manufacturing processes, operational excellence frameworks, automation integration, and regulatory compliance.

Robust background in managing cross-functional production teams.
