The candidate should have a strong understanding of FMCG businesses in India and a proven track record of providing sound legal advice and counselling.

Responsibilities:

- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with vendors and customers, including supply agreements, service contracts, and NDAs.
- Advising on and drafting various legal documents such as deeds, agreements, and other legal correspondence related to business transactions.
- Experience of handling international brand partnerships, banking, and financing agreements.
- Managing and resolving legal disputes, including initiating, or defending litigation, arbitration or mediation proceedings, and handling settlement negotiations.
- Providing legal advice and guidance to senior management and business teams on a range of legal issues, including regulatory compliance,



corporate governance, and employment law.
- Conducting legal research and staying updated on changes in laws and regulations related to FMCG businesses in India.
- Developing and implementing processes to safeguard and protect the Company's brand and intellectual property rights.
- Managing the legal documents/agreements repository and defining the periodic compliance process reviews in the organisation.

Requirements Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in FMCG industry legal affairs.
- Knowledge of corporate laws, contractual laws, and regulatory compliance in India.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with IP protection, trademark registration and litigation is a plus.
