Position: Commodity Cost Analyst

Overview

The Commodity Cost Analyst is a highly responsible and trusted profession that involves the following contributions to the organization:

- Control the cost and optimize the technical specifications of the parts in the commodity.
- Develop, create, and update the particular commodity's techno-economical database for the costing tools.
- Sustain and develop a good level of cross-functional and cultural relationships with all customers.

Major Responsibilities:

- Costing and reporting of the mechanisms (Window regulator, Wiping, Washing, Hinge) based on milestones of each project (Bottom costing, RFQ, COST, F4, IP/PB).
- Responsible to follow costing guidelines and reference data and support to update CGL.
- Capitalization of product and process data pertaining to the commodity (SQ, Infosite, Cost reports, etc.).
- Propose cost reduction opportunities in the soft trims parts manufacturing processes.
- Challenge the suppliers/stakeholders with proper technical and economic background explanations.
- Visit suppliers and collect required costing information and identify opportunities for cost reduction improvements.
- Support digital transformation of processes and operations.
- Implement new process improvements and solutions for upstream projects.

Requirements:

- Deliverables of costing and others should be with good quality and timely delivery (Risk Management).
- Communication and interaction with internal and external entities (Communication Management).
- Follow the methodology of performing different activities for different customers (Change Management).




- Intimate necessary availability well in advance or at the right time (Workload and Workforce Management - Requesting and Applying for Leaves).
- Training and skills development through entity/external sources.
- Career vision and planning the career path.
