Role Description The Consultant Pathologist (M.D) – Part Time (Gurgaon) will provide expert diagnostic interpretation of laboratory specimens, including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and histopathology, as applicable to the service portfolio. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, involving close collaboration with laboratory technicians and clinical teams to ensure accurate, timely, and clinically relevant reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and validating test results, signing out reports, maintaining quality control protocols, and participating in internal audits and accreditation requirements.

Pathologist will also support the design and optimization of diagnostic panels for preventive health check-ups and may provide clinical input for wellness programs, guidelines, and customer education materials. The role requires adherence to ethical standards, regulatory norms, and continuous updates in evidence-based laboratory medicine.

Qualifications

- Medical degree (M.D in Pathology) from a recognized institution; valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council.
- Solid diagnostic skills in routine pathology disciplines (e.g., hematology, clinical pathology, histopathology, cytology) and experience correlating laboratory findings with clinical scenarios.
- Experience in quality assurance, laboratory best practices, and familiarity with NABL or similar accreditation standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, laboratory staff, and wellness teams, providing clear, evidence-based guidance.
- Comfort working in a high-volume diagnostic environment with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and turnaround times.
- Commitment to preventive healthcare, patient safety, and ethical clinical practice; openness to using digital tools and health IT systems.
- Prior experience in a preventive or wellness-focused laboratory setting is an advantage; teaching or mentoring experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages (e.g., Hindi) is beneficial for patient and team interactions.
