Role & Responsibilities

- Perform routine and high-risk antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care—including normal and assisted deliveries, C-sections, and emergency obstetric interventions.
- Diagnose and manage gynaecological conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS, and reproductive cancers through clinical evaluation, imaging, and surgical intervention.
- Conduct outpatient consultations, family planning counseling, and preventive screenings (Pap smears, breast exams, HPV tests) in line with national guidelines.
- Collaborate with community health workers and primary care teams to improve maternal health outreach and reduce infant/maternal mortality rates.
- Document patient records accurately, maintain clinical protocols, and participate in quality audits and morbidity & mortality reviews.




- Train and mentor junior medical officers and nursing staff on gynaecological best practices and emergency response protocols.

Skills & Qualifications

- Must-Have
- MBBS with DGO/DNB/MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Valid NMC registration with active practice license
- Proven experience in emergency obstetrics and operative gynaecology
- Proficiency in ultrasound-guided procedures and LEEP/Cervical cryotherapy
- Knowledge of maternal health protocols (Janani Suraksha Yojana, RMNCH+A)
- Experience in public health or rural healthcare settings preferred
- Preferred
- Training in laparoscopic gynaecological surgery
- Experience in telemedicine or mobile health outreach
- Familiarity with NHM or state-specific maternal health programs
