Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis III to support daily kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the consistent quality of dishes. The ideal candidate should have basic culinary knowledge, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, vegetables, meats, and other food items.
- Perform basic cooking tasks under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Ensure proper mise en place before service.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and assigned workstations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of food items.
- Assist in stock rotation and minimize food wastage.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Support Commis II, Demi Chef de Partie, Chef de Partie, and other senior kitchen staff as required.
- Ensure timely preparation of food items during service.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and contribute to smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma,



or Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 0–2 years of experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or similar kitchen environment.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
