: Commis 2 – Indian Cuisine

We are looking for a Commis 2 – Indian Cuisine who has basic knowledge of Indian cooking and is eager to develop their culinary skills in a professional hospitality kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Indian Chef in daily food preparation and service.
- Complete mise en place for Indian cuisine items before service.
- Assist in preparing Indian gravies, curries, dal, vegetables, rice, and other Indian dishes.
- Assist in preparing basic masalas, pastes, marinades, and gravies.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, quality, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the Indian kitchen workstation.
- Follow food safety and kitchen safety procedures.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of ingredients.
- Support the kitchen team during peak service hours.
- Control food wastage and ensure proper utilization of ingredients.
- Follow instructions from the Chef / Reporting Manager.

Candidate Profile
- Experience:



0–2 years in a hotel/restaurant kitchen preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of preparing gravies, curries, dal, vegetables, rice, and basic Indian dishes will be an advantage.
- Good kitchen hygiene and food safety awareness.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service hours.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Punctual, disciplined, and professionally groomed.
