1. Job Purpose

To operate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines for cutting, drilling, grooving, routing and shaping plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates and other wood-based materials as per approved drawings and production requirements, ensuring accuracy, quality, safety and timely completion of work.

1. Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesA. CNC Machine Operation

- Operate CNC routers, CNC panel cutting machines and other woodworking CNC equipment.

- Read and understand technical drawings, cutting layouts and production instructions.

- Load approved CNC programs and set the machine parameters as required.

- Set workpieces, tools, cutting speeds and feed rates according to material specifications.

- Perform cutting, drilling, routing, grooving and shaping operations accurately.

- Ensure correct dimensions, hole positions, edge profiles and finishing as per drawings.

- Monitor machine performance during operation and report abnormalities immediately.

Production and Material Management

- Complete assigned production work within the planned schedule.

- Verify material type, thickness, dimensions and quantity before machining.

- Minimise material wastage by following approved nesting and cutting layouts.

- Ensure proper utilisation of plywood, MDF, laminates and other materials.

- Identify and segregate rejected, damaged or incorrectly machined components.

- Coordinate with the Production Engineer, Design Team and other operators to avoid production delays.

Quality

Control

- Inspect the first machined component before proceeding with bulk production, as required.

- Check dimensions using measuring tapes, vernier calipers and other measuring instruments.

- Ensure components match approved drawings and specifications.

- Prevent defects such as incorrect cutting, chipping, burning, wrong drilling and dimensional errors.

- Maintain consistency and quality throughout the production process.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
