Role Description The Category Lead is a full-time, in office position based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for owning and growing the cookware category, including defining the category strategy, managing product assortment, and monitoring performance across channels. Daily responsibilities include conducting market and competitor analysis, tracking sales and margins, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to execute category plans.

Lead will oversee vendor relationships, support sourcing decisions,



and participate in contract negotiations to ensure optimal cost, quality, and availability. The role also involves preparing regular reports, presenting insights to leadership, and driving cross-functional initiatives that strengthen Ember’s position in clean cooking.

Qualifications

- Strong category management and procurement experience, with the ability to own end-to-end category strategy and execution.
- Excellent analytical skills, including comfort with data analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present clear recommendations.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation, supplier management, and vendor performance evaluation.
- Experience in consumer products, cookware, kitchenware, or FMCG is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
