Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate bills and invoices for gold, silver, diamond, and other jewellery sales.

- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, bank transfers, and other payment methods.

- Calculate jewellery prices based on weight, purity, making charges, wastage charges, and applicable taxes.

- Process exchange and buyback transactions for old gold and silver jewellery according to company policy.

- Maintain daily cash books, sales records, receipts, and payment vouchers.

- Verify cash balances and reconcile daily sales with the billing system.

- Maintain accurate records of customer advances, deposits, and pending payments.

- Coordinate with sales staff and the accounts department regarding billing and payment discrepancies.

- Ensure proper documentation for jewellery sales, returns, and exchanges.

- Handle customer payment queries professionally and maintain confidentiality of financial information.

- Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the accountant or showroom manager.

- Follow company procedures for cash handling, billing, and financial security.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum qualification:



12th pass; a graduate degree in commerce is preferred.

- Basic knowledge of accounting and mathematics.

- Knowledge of jewellery billing, gold rates, purity, weight, and making charges.

- Experience with billing software, POS systems, MS Excel, or accounting software.

- Knowledge of GST invoicing and jewellery sales documentation.

- Honesty, accuracy, attention to detail, and good communication skills.

- Previous experience in a jewellery showroom or retail business is preferred.
