Core Responsibilities

- Order Processing: Take dine-in, takeout, or counter orders accurately and enter them into the POS terminal. [1, 2]

- Payment Handling: Process cash, credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets, while issuing exact change and printed or digital receipts. [1, 2, 3]

- Drawer Reconciliation: Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift, accounting for all sales, refunds, and float amounts. [1, 2, 3]

- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, answer questions about menu items or promotions, and resolve billing or service complaints calmly. [1, 2, 3]

- Operational Support: Coordinate with kitchen staff for order readiness, pack takeout items, and help restock station supplies or explicit tables during peak hours. [1, 2, 3]

Key Skills & Qualifications

- Technical Skills:



Proficiency in electronic cash registers and touchscreen POS systems.

- Math & Accuracy: Strong basic arithmetic skills for counting change and balancing sales.

- Communication: Clear, polite verbal communication and active listening.

- Education & Experience: Typically requires a High School diploma or GED, with prior cash-handling or F&B; experience preferred.

- Certifications: May require a local food handler's permit, health card, or alcohol awareness certification depending on regional regulations
