About Us

Capcier Industries Pvt. Ltd. manufactures customised copper and aluminium busbars based on customer drawings and specifications. Our manufacturing facility in Chakan is equipped with advanced machinery from India and China.

We are looking for a hands-on CAD/CAM Designer who can interpret customer drawings, prepare production-ready files, and support our production team with machine programming and drawing-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret customer drawings received in PDF, DXF, DWG, and other engineering formats.
- Create, modify, and convert drawings into accurate CAD files suitable for manufacturing.
- Check dimensions, tolerances, hole positions, bend details, material thickness, and other production requirements.
- Prepare flat patterns and account for bend allowances wherever required.
- Prepare cutting layouts and nesting plans to optimise material utilisation and minimise scrap.
- Prepare and load compatible drawings or machine programs for CNC cutting, punching, and bending equipment, in coordination with machine operators.
- Identify missing information or drawing discrepancies and coordinate with the relevant team for clarification before production.
- Make drawing revisions following customer approval and maintain proper revision records.
- Support sample development, first-piece inspection, and troubleshooting of drawing or programming issues.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure finished components match approved drawings.

Software Skills

- AutoCAD:



Strong proficiency in 2D drafting and working with DXF/DWG files.
- SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor: Working knowledge of 3D modelling, sheet metal development, and flat patterns.
- Machine-specific CAD/CAM or nesting software: Experience preparing programs for CNC laser cutting, punching, or bending machines. Familiarity with software such as CypCut, SigmaNEST, or equivalent will be an advantage.

Candidates should be comfortable learning the software and controllers used on our machines.

Qualifications and Skills

- ITI in Mechanical Draughtsmanship, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing tolerances, and fabrication processes.
- Practical knowledge of cutting, punching, drilling, and bending operations.
- Ability to verify dimensions using measuring instruments such as vernier callipers and micrometers.
- Good attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and coordination with shop-floor teams.
- Previous experience in copper/aluminium busbars, electrical panels, or precision sheet metal manufacturing will be preferred.

Salary: Based on experience and practical skills.
