Empire Logistics is a rapidly growing logistics company based in Kolkata specializing in Cross-Border Transportation and Supply Chain Solutions across the BBIN region. We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with strong industry connections and proven expertise in handling clients engaged in trade with Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Generate recent business opportunities and onboard corporate clients engaged in cross-border trade.

✅ Develop and manage relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, traders, and supply chain decision-makers.

✅ Drive business growth for India-Bangladesh, India-Nepal, and India-Bhutan logistics corridors.

✅ Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and customer presentations.

✅ Conduct business meetings, customer visits, and contract negotiations.

✅ Identify new trade lanes, industries, and growth opportunities within the BBIN region.

✅ Achieve revenue and customer acquisition targets.

✅ Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and service delivery.

✅ Manage key accounts and maintain long-term business relationships.

✅ Provide regular market intelligence, competitor analysis, and sales reports to management.

Candidate Requirements

Mandatory Experience :

✔ Minimum 3-10 years of experience in Logistics, Transportation,



Supply Chain, EXIM Trade, or Cross-Border Logistics.

✔ Hands-on experience handling customers trading with Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.

✔ Strong understanding of cross-border transportation processes and trade movements within the BBIN region.

✔ Proven track record in B2B sales and corporate client acquisition.

✔ Strong network among importers, exporters, manufacturers, traders, and logistics stakeholders.

✔ Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

✅ Existing customer base in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan trade corridors.

✅ Experience dealing with large corporate clients and SMEs.

✅ Strong understanding of road transportation and cross-border trade requirements.

✅ Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of independently developing new business opportunities.

✅ Willingness to travel across India and neighboring countries whenever required.
