STAQX is a retro-inspired American diner and bar concept by Saltae Hospitality LLP. Our Bandra outlet has been operational for six months, offering guests a lively dining experience with great food and beverages.

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and guest-focused Barista to join our team at STAQX Bandra. The role primarily involves preparing coffee and other beverages, along with handling cashiering duties and assisting with floor service and Captain responsibilities whenever required.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages and other drinks as per established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders and other beverage equipment.
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation and serving standards.
- Handle billing, POS operations, cash transactions and digital payments accurately.
- Assist guests with menu queries, orders and payments while maintaining a friendly and professional approach.
- Support floor operations, including taking orders, serving food and beverages, setting tables and coordinating with the kitchen.
- Assist with Captain-level responsibilities, such as managing tables, coordinating guest requests and ensuring smooth service,



whenever required.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation of the coffee station, cashier counter and assigned floor areas.
- Monitor beverage stock, report shortages and follow proper storage and wastage-control procedures.
- Coordinate with the Front of House, kitchen and management teams to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Candidate Requirements

- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Barista, Cashier, Steward or Captain is an advantage.
- Freshers with a willingness to learn and a robust interest in coffee and hospitality are welcome to apply.
- Basic to moderate English communication skills and a guest-friendly attitude.
- Good grooming, personal hygiene, attention to detail and a professional approach.
- Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities across beverage preparation, billing and floor service.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends and holidays as per operational requirements.
