Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in backend development and a strong understanding of Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS). The ideal candidate should have experience developing and maintaining backend applications, designing APIs, managing databases, and implementing healthcare-related software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications for HIMS and healthcare-related systems.

- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Work with databases to manage, store, retrieve, and optimize application data.

- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and other team members to deliver reliable solutions.

- Implement business logic, data validation, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend application issues.

- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and data integrity.

- Understand hospital workflows and integrate relevant modules such as patient management, appointments, billing, laboratory, pharmacy, and electronic medical records, as applicable.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing application maintenance.





Required Skills and Qualifications

- 3–5 years of skilled experience in backend development.

- Prior experience working on HIMS (Hospital Information Management System) or healthcare-related software projects.

- Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Java, Python, Node.js, PHP, or .NET.

- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and web services.

- Good knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

- Understanding of database design, query optimization, and data management.

- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, application security, and error handling.

- Experience with Git or other version control systems.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site project workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with hospital workflows and healthcare data management.

- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 or FHIR.

- Experience integrating third-party healthcare systems, laboratory systems, pharmacy systems, or billing platforms.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms, deployment processes, and application performance optimization.

Work Location

- Bhubaneswar, Odisha — candidates must be comfortable working on-site.
