Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced underwriting professional with robust expertise in medical and financial underwriting, risk assessment, and high Sum Assured (SA) cases within the life insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle medical and financial underwriting of life insurance proposals within delegated financial authority limits of up to ₹2 crore.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments to ensure accurate and prudent underwriting decisions in line with established guidelines.
- Review high Sum Assured cases and refer them to reinsurers with the necessary documentation, risk assessments, and follow-ups on decisions.
- Assess medical history, financial eligibility, and other relevant risk factors while evaluating insurance proposals.
- Coordinate with regional underwriting teams, branches, IT teams,



and reinsurers to ensure smooth and timely processing of cases.
- Ensure compliance with medical and financial underwriting guidelines, internal policies, and applicable insurance regulations.
- Support underwriting quality, risk control, and consistency in decision-making.

Key Requirements:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in life insurance underwriting.
- Strong hands-on experience in both medical and financial underwriting.
- Experience handling high Sum Assured cases and coordinating with reinsurers.
- Sound understanding of underwriting authority limits, risk assessment, and insurance underwriting guidelines.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and decision-making skills.
