An Oracle OTM/GTM Cloud Consultant (or Senior Engineer) with 5 years of experience fits into a mid-level professional bracket. At this career stage, recruiters expect someone who can work independently to configure modules, manage standard integrations, and handle troubleshooting without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities (Mid-Level)

- Module Configuration: Hands-on configuration of core Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) modules including Order Release, Shipment Planning, Rate Management, and Itineraries.
- GTM Compliance Setup: Setting up basic Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM) elements like trade transaction screening, product classification, and compliance rules.
- Technical Customization:



Developing and modifying custom automation agents, saved queries, screen sets, and user menus.
- Integrations & Monitoring: Managing inbound/outbound XML or JSON transmissions and web services (REST/SOAP) between OTM/GTM and ERP systems.
- Testing & Support: Writing test scripts, executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and resolving day-to-day production support tickets.

Required Technical Skills
- Core Systems: 5 years of hands-on experience split across Oracle OTM Cloud and GTM Cloud.
- Database & Querying: Strong knowledge of the OTM Data Model, SQL, and PL/SQL for custom reporting and log analysis.
- Data Formats: Proficiency in XML, XSLT, and standard logistics EDI transmissions (e.g., EDI 204, 214, 210).
- Reporting: Experience building and modifying custom BI Publisher (BIP) reports.
