Role Summary:

The Strategic Business Optimization Lead serves as a trusted advisor and hands-on problem solver for senior leadership. This role combines advanced data analysis, process improvement, executive communications, and business planning to turn complex issues into clear insights, practical solutions, and compelling leadership materials.

The Strategic Business Optimization

Lead independently investigates operational and process challenges, identifies root causes, recommends sustainable solutions, and helps drive decisions through data-informed storytelling.

Roles & Responsibility:

Data analysis and insight development: Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers; translate findings into concise, actionable business insights.

Advanced Excel solutions: Build and maintain sophisticated Excel models, tools, dashboards, reconciliations, and analyses using advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, data validation, and visualization techniques.

Power BI reporting:



Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports; integrate data from multiple sources, define meaningful measures, and present information in a clear, decision-oriented format.

Root-cause analysis: Take ownership of ambiguous process or operational issues, research the current state, gather data and stakeholder input, isolate root causes, and distinguish symptoms from underlying problems.

Solution design: Recommend practical, scalable solutions supported by data, including process changes, controls, reporting enhancements, role clarification, automation opportunities, and implementation plans.

Process improvement: Map end-to-end processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, quantify impact, and partner with business and technology teams to improve outcomes.

Executive communications: Draft clear, polished communications on behalf of senior leaders, including announcements, updates, decision memos, talking points, and stakeholder correspondence.

Presentation development: Create executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that synthesize complex information into a compelling narrative with clear decisions, recommendations, risks, and next steps.

Decision support: Prepare leadership briefings, options analyses, business cases, and recommendations; anticipate questions and ensure leaders have the facts and context needed to act.

Cross-functional leadership: Facilitate working sessions, align stakeholders, manage action plans, and drive issues to resolution without relying on direct authority.

Ad hoc strategic support: Lead high-priority analyses and special projects that require discretion, judgment, speed, and strong follow-through.
