Role Description This is a part-time Assistant Photographer role based in Chennai, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site shoots and some work-from-home tasks.

The Assistant

Photographer will support lead photographers during shoots by preparing equipment, assisting with lighting and composition, and coordinating with clients and crew on set. Daily activities include organizing gear, helping set up locations, managing backups of images and video, and maintaining an orderly workflow before, during, and after sessions. The role also involves basic post-production support, such as culling images, organizing files, and communicating progress with the creative team.

Photographer will be expected to adhere to studio standards,



follow creative direction, and contribute to a team-oriented, respectful work environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should have foundational photography skills, including understanding of camera settings, composition, and lighting.
- Candidates should be comfortable assisting in studio and on-location setups, including handling equipment such as cameras, lenses, tripods, and lighting gear.
- Candidates should possess basic post-production skills, such as file management and familiarity with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop).
- Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and time-management abilities to support shoot preparation, on-set coordination, and timely delivery of assets.
- Candidates should have effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to follow creative direction and interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Candidates should be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed, and be comfortable traveling within Chennai for shoots.
- Candidates with prior experience assisting photographers, a portfolio of work, or formal training in photography or visual arts will be considered an advantage.
