Role & responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

- Handle procurement of raw materials and indirect materials, including Import items, ABS, Aluminium, Chemicals, and other spend categories.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery.
- Manage RFQs, price negotiations, commercial discussions, and purchase order placements.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier performance.

Order Fulfillment & Material Planning

- Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials to support production schedules.
- Coordinate with planning, production, stores, and suppliers for seamless order fulfillment.
- Track purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery while resolving supply-related issues.

Inventory Management

- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Work closely with stores and planning teams to improve inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.




- Analyze consumption patterns and implement inventory optimization strategies.

Cost Reduction & Process Improvement

- Lead cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, alternate vendor development, and negotiation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and procurement efficiency enhancements.
- Drive savings projects and contribute to annual procurement cost targets.

Vendor Management

- Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and contractual requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- 8-10 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Experience in procurement categories such as Imports, ABS, Aluminium, Chemicals, and Indirect Spend.
- Exposure to manufacturing and supply chain operations preferred
