Educational Qualifications

- Master's degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS/MLISc).

- PGDLAN or equivalent qualification in Library Automation/Networking will be desirable.

- PhD in Library & Information Science will be an added advantage.

Experience

2-5 years of relevant experience in an academic/research library, research-support unit, scholarly communication workplace or related field.

Candidates with:

- Research publications in Scopus, Web of Science or other recognised indexed databases

- Experience supporting faculty, researchers and PhD scholars will be preferred.

- Research Data Management (RDM)

- Bibliometrics, Scientometrics, Webometrics and Altmetrics

- Systematic Literature Review (SLR)

- Meta-analysis and evidence-based research

- Research data analysis and visualisation

- VOSviewer, Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny, R/R packages, Python for research/data analysis, CiteSpace

- AI tools for academic research and scholarly communication

- Journal selection and Journal Finder tools

- Scopus, Web of Science and scholarly databases

- Research and publication ethics

- Academic integrity and responsible use of AI

- Turnitin

- Zotero, Mendeley and reference-management tools

- Citation analysis, research impact and scholarly metrics

Key Responsibilities





- Provide research consultation and support to faculty, researchers and PhD scholars.

- Assist researchers with research data management, including organisation, documentation, preservation, sharing and data-management planning.

- Support literature searching, systematic reviews, bibliometric studies and research analysis.

- Conduct bibliometric/scientometric and research-impact analyses.

- Support journal identification, journal selection, indexing and publication strategy.

- Provide hands-on training in VOSviewer, Biblioshiny, R, Python, CiteSpace, Zotero, Mendeley and AI research tools.

- Support citation analysis, author profiles, research visibility and scholarly communication.

- Guide researchers on research ethics, plagiarism, publication ethics and responsible AI use.

- Organise workshops, training programmes and one-to-one research consultations.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of Research Support Services in the LRC.

- Prepare research analytics, reports, dashboards and institutional research-impact data.

- Support initiatives related to research visibility, rankings, accreditation and scholarly communication.

- Identify emerging research tools, technologies and services to strengthen the University's research ecosystem.
