Experience: 25 years | Location: University Campus The LRC is looking for a technology-oriented and innovation-driven skilled who can manage the existing library technology ecosystem while also exploring and implementing automation, MIS, AI and emerging technologies across LRC operations.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should possess any one of the following:

- MCA / BCA
- M.Sc. IT / M.Sc. Computer Science
- B.Tech. in Computer Science / Information Technology
- MLIS/MLibIS with PG Diploma in IT / Computer Applications
- Equivalent qualification with relevant IT/library technology experience.

Candidates with a combination of Library & Information Science and IT/Computer qualifications will be particularly preferred.

Experience

2-5 years of relevant working experience in a similar domain, preferably in:

- Academic/University Libraries
- Library automation
- Digital library technologies
- Application administration
- Web/mobile application development
- Database management
- MIS and analytics
- System integration and automation

Key Applications & Systems The selected candidate will be responsible for the management and technical support of the LRC's existing technology ecosystem, including: KOHA | DSpace | OJS | SubjectPlus | WordPress | Library Mobile Application | MIS

Exposure to RFID-based library systems, APIs, databases and application integration will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, maintain and provide technical support for KOHA, DSpace, OJS, SubjectPlus, WordPress and the Library Mobile Application.
- Manage and develop LRC MIS, dashboards, reports and analytics.
- Support application configuration, database management, data migration, backup and reporting.
- Troubleshoot application and system-related issues.
- Support integration of library applications with University systems and platforms.
- Work with APIs, databases, web technologies and application-integration tools.
- Develop or support web-based applications and digital library solutions.




- Identify opportunities for automation of manual and repetitive library processes.
- Coordinate with the University IT team and technology vendors for upgrades, troubleshooting and system maintenance.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, system manuals and reports.
- Provide technical training and support to LRC staff.

AI & Innovation Responsibilities A key responsibility of this position will be to explore, evaluate and implement practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in different activities and operations of the Learning Resource Centre.

The candidate will:

- Identify opportunities for AI-enabled library services and workflow automation.
- Explore AI applications in cataloguing, metadata creation, classification and content discovery.
- Explore AI-powered search, discovery, virtual reference and chatbot services.
- Use AI for appropriate applications in content creation, summarisation, translation and communication.
- Explore AI-based solutions for MIS, data analysis, dashboards and management reporting.
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation of routine library operations.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools for their usefulness, reliability, privacy, security and suitability in an academic library.
- Assist in developing AI guidelines and responsible-use practices for the LRC.
- Conduct demonstrations and training for library staff on emerging AI tools.
- Continuously identify and recommend new technologies, AI applications and digital innovations for the LRC.
