Role Description The Article Assistant will support audit, tax, and accounting assignments under the guidance of senior team members, primarily for clients in and around Kochi. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, working on documentation and working papers, performing basic ledger scrutiny, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and tax computations. The role involves gathering and organizing client data, helping with compliance filings,



preparing reports and schedules, and updating records in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.

The Article

Assistant will collaborate with colleagues and partners, participate in on-the-job learning, and adhere to professional and ethical standards set by the firm and regulatory bodies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, requiring consistent office presence and occasional client visits.

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing or eligible for Chartered Accountancy articleship under ICAI, with a solid academic foundation in accounting, auditing, taxation, and finance.
- Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and ledger posting, with the ability to work accurately with numerical data.
- Familiarity with audit procedures and working papers, and an interest in statutory, internal, and system audits across diverse industries.
- Basic understanding of direct and indirect tax concepts, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks relevant to Indian financial and banking sectors.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and other office productivity tools; exposure to accounting or ERP software will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and reporting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within teams and interact professionally with clients.
