Job Overview

Pratham Software is seeking an experienced AI Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analytics applications.

The role involves building reliable data pipelines, managing large datasets, supporting AI model deployment, and collaborating with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines using ETL and ELT processes.
- Clean, transform, and prepare structured and unstructured data for AI, machine learning, and generative AI applications.
- Build and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and feature stores.
- Develop data pipelines for large language model (LLM) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications.
- Work with embeddings and vector databases to support AI-powered solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to deploy and maintain models in production.
- Support machine learning operations (MLOps), including pipeline monitoring and maintenance.
- Maintain data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Improve data pipeline performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement workflow orchestration, monitoring, and alerting.
- Contribute to data architecture decisions and mentor junior team members.
- Work with business and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Qualifications
- B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology,



or a related field. MCA may be considered for exceptional candidates with solid relevant experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering, including significant exposure to AI or machine learning projects.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Airflow.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of cloud data services and platforms such as Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Glue, or Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modelling.
- Working knowledge of ML pipelines and MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or Amazon SageMaker.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills
- Exposure to large language models and generative AI applications.
- Experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate.
- Knowledge of Scala or Java.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
