Designation: Assistant General Manager – Safety (AGM – Safety)

Job Summary

Responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and statutory compliance across real estate construction projects to ensure a safe working workplace for employees, contractors, and site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement project-specific Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
2. Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws, statutory regulations, and construction safety standards.
3. Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
4. Monitor construction activities and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
6. Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes for employees and contractors.
7. Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment at project sites.
8. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants, and statutory authorities on safety matters.
9. Prepare and maintain safety reports, audit records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
10. Lead the safety team and monitor the performance of safety officers across project sites.

Implement emergency preparedness plans, fire safety measures, and evacuation procedures.
12. Review safety performance and recommend improvements to minimise workplace accidents and risks.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, preferably Civil or Mechanical.
- Diploma or certification in Industrial Safety / Fire and Safety / HSE from a recognised institution.

Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in construction safety, preferably with a real estate developer or large construction company.
- Prior experience managing safety operations across large residential, commercial, or high-rise projects.
- Experience in leading a team of safety professionals is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and HSE management systems.
- Leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Expertise in risk assessment, safety audits, incident investigation, and emergency management.
- Proficiency in safety reporting and documentation.

Reporting To: Project Head / Head – Projects / Management Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
