BP Marine Academy provides maritime education and training for aspiring candidates looking to build careers in the merchant navy and shipping industry. We are looking for a motivated, confident, and student-oriented Admission Counsellor to join our Admissions Department and guide prospective students through the admission process for our Pre-Sea courses.

Job Summary The Admission Counsellor will be responsible for handling enquiries from prospective students and parents, explaining available Pre-Sea courses, assessing candidate eligibility against applicable admission criteria, following up with leads, and converting eligible enquiries into admissions.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a skilled approach, strong follow-up abilities, and an interest in education counselling and student admissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle incoming enquiries through telephone calls, WhatsApp, email, walk-ins, and online platforms.
- Counsel students and parents regarding Pre-Sea courses, eligibility criteria, admission procedures, course duration, fees, documentation, and training requirements.
- Explain available maritime career pathways and course options clearly and accurately.
- Screen prospective candidates against the applicable eligibility criteria and guide them through the next steps.
- Follow up with prospective students regularly to convert enquiries into confirmed admissions.
- Maintain and update lead databases, counselling records, and admission status in the CRM or Excel.
- Coordinate with the admissions team and other departments for documentation, application processing, and enrolment.
- Assist candidates with application forms, document collection, and admission-related queries.




- Organise and support admission campaigns, education fairs, seminars, and student counselling sessions.
- Achieve assigned enquiry follow-up, counselling, and admission targets.
- Maintain professional communication with students and parents and ensure a positive admission experience.
- Provide accurate information and avoid making unverified promises regarding placements, salaries, or employment opportunities.

Eligibility and Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline; candidates with relevant counselling, sales, or admissions experience will be preferred.
- Freshers with excellent communication and convincing skills may also apply.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi; Marathi is an advantage.
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Excel, email, and CRM tools.
- Ability to handle multiple enquiries, maintain follow-ups, and work towards admission targets.
- Knowledge of merchant navy careers or maritime courses is an added advantage.
