Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Ahmedabad. The Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves supporting tax and compliance filings, creating basic financial reports, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as auditors and vendors. The Accountant will contribute to improving financial processes, maintaining documentation, and supporting management with data for decision-making.

- Candidates should possess core accounting skills such as bookkeeping, general ledger management, and basic financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable and receivable management, invoice processing, and bank reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess skills in using accounting or ERP software, spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel), and maintaining digital financial records.
- Candidates should possess skills related to statutory compliance, basic tax knowledge, and documentation required for audits.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies, improve processes, and support data-driven decisions.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks accurately.

- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred; qualified certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA Inter) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment and familiarity with inventory accounting will be beneficial.
