Role Description The Accountant at METROKART will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and vendor accounts, monitoring inventory-related costs, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, assisting with tax preparation, and generating periodic financial reports for management. This is a full time, on-site role based in Bettiah,



requiring close collaboration with the finance, operations, and merchandising teams to support accurate and timely financial decision-making.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and invoice processing.
- Ability to assist with budgeting, cost control, inventory accounting, and basic tax compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certification (CA/CPA or equivalent in progress or completed) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in retail, apparel, or manufacturing environments is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work on-site in Bettiah and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, growing fashion brand.
