About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with 3–4 years of experience, particularly in payroll processing and management. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day accounting operations along with end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.

Key Responsibilities

- Process end-to-end monthly payroll, including salary calculations, deductions, and disbursements

- Ensure accurate calculation and timely deposit of statutory dues (PF, ESI, TDS, Skilled Tax, etc.)

- Maintain employee salary records, attendance data, leave records, and reimbursements

- Prepare and file payroll-related compliance reports and returns

- Handle full and final settlements, reimbursements, and payroll-related queries from employees

- Manage general accounting activities — bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, journal entries, and bank reconciliations

- Prepare and maintain financial records, invoices, and vouchers

- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities

- Coordinate with HR for new joiner/exit payroll updates and salary structuring

- Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll and accounting data

- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies

Required Skills & Qualifications





- 3–4 years of experience in accounting, with hands-on payroll processing experience

- Strong knowledge of payroll components — PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, Gratuity, etc.

- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar) and payroll tools/HRMS

- Good working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data

- Good communication skills for coordinating with employees, HR, and management

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred)

Good to Have

- Experience with payroll software like GreytHR, Keka, or Zoho Payroll

- Basic knowledge of GST and income tax filing

- Prior experience in an IT/services company
