Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Mumbai.

The Academic

Counselor will support prospective and current students through one-on-one and group counseling sessions, helping them understand educational pathways in India and abroad, including medical, engineering, finance, and other professional programs. Daily responsibilities include conducting academic advising sessions, assessing students’ interests and aptitude, recommending suitable courses and universities, and providing guidance on application timelines, documentation, and entrance or licensing exams. The role also involves maintaining accurate student records,



coordinating with internal teams such as mobility, academy, and travel divisions, and participating in seminars, workshops, and outreach events.

The counselor will communicate regularly with students and families, respond to inquiries, and ensure a positive, ethical, and student-centered counseling experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners on suitable academic and professional pathways.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly and empathetically with students, families, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Academic Advising and Education-related skills to interpret curricula, eligibility criteria, and international study options.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple cases, track applications, and meet deadlines.
- Relevant experience in academic or career counseling, education consulting, or student services is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or counseling certification is an advantage.
- Comfort with using digital tools, CRM or student management systems, and online communication platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity when advising diverse student populations.
