Job SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on, proactive Unloading Executive to oversee and manage destination unloading, truck detention control, and cargo offloading operations at customer plant sites and receiving yards. The candidate will ensure fast vehicle turnaround times (TAT), accurate material inspection, zero cargo damage or loss during offloading, and seamless receiving documentation across Steel, Cement, and Heavy Raw Material (Iron Ore, Coal, Minerals) shipments.
Key Responsibilities1. In office Truck Receiving & Yard Management

- Supervise the entry, queuing, and parking placement of arriving commercial vehicles/trailers at customer unloading yards and plant gates.
- Coordinate with customer receiving team, weighbridge operators, and crane/forklift/tipper operators to ensure fast unloading clearance.
- Actively monitor and minimize Vehicle Detention Time at destination sites to ensure high fleet availability.

2. Cargo Inspection, Weighment & Material Security

- Perform visual inspection of cargo seals, tarpaulins, and lashing straps before offloading heavy industrial cargo (steel coils, pipes, rebars, bulk cement, clinker, minerals).
- Verify gross and tare weighbridge weights against the Lorry Receipt (LR) and dispatch invoice to ensure zero weight discrepancy or cargo shortage.
- In case of physical damage, moisture exposure, or weight variation,



immediately log incident reports, capture photographic evidence, and notify the head office.

3. Labour & Offloading Equipment Coordination

- Supervise un-tarping crews, riggers, crane operators, and unloading labour teams to maintain strict safety protocols.
- Enforce 100% compliance with client plant safety regulations, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards (helmets, high-vis vests, safety shoes).

4. Documentation & Proof of Delivery (POD)

- Obtain signed and stamped Proof of Delivery (POD) / Lorry Receipts (LR) from client store/receiving managers immediately upon completion of offloading.
- Ensure accurate recording of unloading timestamps, detention hours (if any), and shortages on the LR.
- Upload digitized POD copies into the company ERP / Transport Management System (TMS) for fast billing clearance.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Higher Secondary (10+2) or Graduate in any stream / Diploma in Logistics.
- Experience: 2–5+ years in transport operations, destination unloading management, or store/yard handling in Steel, Cement, Mining, or Industrial Goods.
- Core Skills: Hands-on cargo handling, labor management, basic computer/mobile app usage (for uploading PODs), and quick problem-solving skills under field conditions.
