While your primary workspace will be the digital drafting board, we are looking for someone who understands that lines on a screen eventually become steel and concrete in the real world.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate sketches and verbal instructions into formal blueprints.
- Review and modify designs based on project requirements and site feedback.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and local building codes.
- Manage and archive project documentation and drawing revisions.
Requirements :
- Expert Proficiency in AutoCAD : You should know the software inside and out (shortcuts, layers, Xrefs, and plotting are second nature to you).
- Technical Education : Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related drafting field.
- Eye for Detail : Precision is non-negotiable in construction.
- Strong Communication : Ability to explain technical layouts to team members who may not be CAD-savvy.
Bonus Points (The "Plus" Factors)
- On-Site Experience : Past experience working directly on construction sites or within a construction firm.
- Software Versatility : Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, or SketchUp is a great advantage.
