ob Summary : The Accounts Assistant will support the finance department in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including invoicing, ledger maintenance, inventory accounting, and compliance. The role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records and smooth coordination with sales, purchase, and warehouse teams in a fast-moving FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts

2. Billing & Invoicing

- Generate sales invoices and credit/debit notes
- Verify billing data with dispatch and sales teams
- Ensure timely invoicing and collections tracking

3. Inventory & FMCG-Specific Accounting

- Track stock movement and reconcile inventory records
- Coordinate with warehouse for stock verification
- Monitor expiry, damages, and returns accounting
- Handle distributor/retailer schemes and discounts accounting

4. GST & Compliance

- Assist in GST return preparation (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
- Maintain proper tax documentation and records
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations

5. Bank & Cash Management

- Perform bank reconciliations




- Monitor daily cash flow and petty cash
- Record receipts and payments accurately

6. Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare daily/weekly MIS reports
- Assist in monthly closing and audits
- Maintain organized financial records and files

Required Skills :

- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Familiarity with GST and taxation
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Busy, SAP)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Valuable communication and coordination skills

Qualifications :

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting (FMCG experience preferred)

Salary Range (Indicative) : ₹15,000 - ₹30,000 per month (depending on experience & location)

Pay: ₹12,500.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
