About this Role : What you’ll do :

- Design, develop, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and triggers
- Administer Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra databases across environments
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimisation
- Manage backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes
- Execute database upgrades, migrations, and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot production incidents and provide timely resolution
- Manage database security, user access, and compliance requirements including auditing and SOX activities
- Deliver automation using Shell or Python scripting to improve operational efficiency
- Participate in on-call support for high-priority database issues




- Support DML operations and ensure service availability
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to continuous service improvement

Who you are :

- Experience in database administration and architecture with a focus on operational excellence
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development (6+ years)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle (11g/19c), PostgreSQL, and Cassandra databases
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) is beneficial
- Strong understanding of performance tuning and optimisation techniques
- Knowledge of AWS cloud environments and database monitoring tools
- Experience working with ticketing tools and incident management processes
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting (Shell, Python or similar)
- Ability to analyse system performance issues and implement effective solutions
- Familiarity with backup, recovery, and high availability solutions
- Understanding of compliance and audit requirements (e.g. SOX)
- Telecom domain knowledge is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
