Job Description: Officer - MicrobiologistDepartment: Quality Control / MicrobiologyLocation: [Plant Location]Qualification: M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Microbiology or related life sciencesExperience: 2-5 years (GMP environment preferred)Key Responsibilities

- Perform microbiological analysis of raw materials, finished products, in-process samples, water, and environmental samples as per approved procedures.
- Conduct environmental monitoring (air, surface, personnel) in manufacturing and cleanroom areas.
- Perform water system testing (PW, WFI) including bioburden and endotoxin analysis.
- Carry out media preparation, sterilization, and growth promotion testing .
- Handle sterility testing , microbial limit tests, and endotoxin testing as applicable.
- Maintain and monitor microbiological cultures, reference strains, and culture inventories .
- Ensure proper calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of microbiology laboratory instruments.
- Document all activities in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) .




- Participate in deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA related to microbiology.
- Support validation activities such as disinfectant validation, media fill, and cleaning validation.
- Assist during regulatory audits and inspections (GMP / WHO-GMP / ISO).
- Ensure compliance with safety, biosafety, and waste disposal procedures .

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, GDP , and microbiological techniques.
- Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques and cleanroom behavior .
- Valuable analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
