We are looking for a Business Development Executive (BDE) with 2+ years of experience in Upwork-based lead generation and business development. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of identifying relevant projects, submitting high-quality proposals, engaging with clients, and converting opportunities into successful business.
Manage end-to-end business development activities through Upwork .
Identify and shortlist relevant projects based on company capabilities and target markets.
Conduct detailed research on client requirements, project scope, budget, and competition.
Create and submit high-quality, customized Upwork proposals .
Monitor and respond promptly to client messages and project invitations.
Schedule and conduct client discussions to understand requirements and establish business relationships.
Follow up consistently with prospects and manage the sales pipeline.
Negotiate project scope, pricing, timelines, and commercial terms.
Coordinate with technical/pre-sales teams to prepare proposals and estimates.
Track Upwork performance metrics and continuously improve proposal and bidding strategies.




Research competitors and identify new opportunities to increase business from Upwork.

2+ years of proven experience in Upwork bidding/business development.

- Demonstrated ability to generate leads and win projects through Upwork.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong proposal writing and client-handling skills.
- Good understanding of B2B sales and lead conversion.
- Ability to understand technical project requirements and communicate them effectively.
- Experience using CRM and sales tracking tools.
- Frontend, Backend, Mobile, Low-Code, Cloud/DevOps, Automation & AI/GenAI technologies.
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong appetite for building current processes, experimenting with sales strategies, and creating scalable business development systems.
- Ability to understand client requirements and position the appropriate technology, development, automation, cloud, or AI solution based on business needs.
