## About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and self-driven **Mechanical Design Engineer – Equipment Design** with 3–6 years of relevant experience and proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in equipment modelling, 3D assembly design, and the preparation of detailed engineering drawings. The candidate must be capable of independently managing design projects with minimal supervision and knowledge transfer.

You will collaborate with technical leads, project managers, and clients to ensure design accuracy, meet project requirements, and deliver engineering outputs within agreed timelines.

## Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies for mechanical equipment using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.

- Prepare accurate 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and related engineering documentation.

- Independently handle assigned projects with minimal supervision and knowledge transfer.

- Collaborate with technical leads and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure design accuracy.

- Interpret engineering specifications, existing drawings,



and technical inputs to develop effective design solutions.

- Apply relevant engineering standards, including ANSI, ASME, DIN, and BS, wherever applicable.

- Maintain accurate project documentation, drawing revisions, and engineering records.

- Participate in periodic technical review meetings with clients to ensure design consistency and resolve technical queries.

- Guide and train junior engineers to maintain the quality and accuracy of project deliverables.

- Plan and monitor project activities to ensure timely completion within agreed schedules and budgets.

- Identify design issues and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement necessary corrections.

## Required Qualifications and Skills

- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.

- 3–6 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and equipment modelling.

- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.

- Hands-on experience in 3D part modelling, assembly modelling, and 2D engineering drawing preparation.

- Experience in developing equipment models and generating complete sets of engineering drawings.

- Familiarity with North American and international engineering standards, including ANSI, ASME, DIN, and BS.

- Ability to independently understand project requirements and execute design activities with minimal supervision.





- Good knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation, dimensions, tolerances, and drawing documentation.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical coordination skills.

- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet project deadlines.

## Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience working on industrial equipment or machinery design projects.

- Ability to take ownership of assigned projects from initial inputs through final drawing submission.

- Experience coordinating with technical leads, project managers, or client engineering teams.

- Ability to guide junior engineers and review design deliverables.

- Willingness to learn new tools, standards, and project-specific engineering practices.
