Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership

- Provide strategic direction for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate medical education.
- Ensure curriculum implementation as per NMC guidelines and competency-based medical education (CBME).
- Promote excellence in teaching, training, and student outcomes.
- Oversee faculty development programs and academic audits.

2. Regulatory Compliance (NMC Norms)

- Ensure strict adherence to NMC norms related to:

- Faculty strength and qualifications

- Student intake capacity

- Infrastructure and clinical material

- Coordinate inspections, assessments, and renewals of permissions.

- Maintain accurate documentation and records for regulatory submissions.

3. Administrative & Operational Management

- Supervise day-to-day administration of the college and attached teaching hospital.
- Lead department heads and ensure effective interdepartmental coordination.
- Implement institutional policies and governance frameworks.

4. Clinical & Hospital Oversight

- Ensure quality patient care aligned with teaching objectives.
- Monitor hospital performance, patient safety, and clinical outcomes.
- Promote ethical medical practices and compliance with healthcare standards.

5. Research & Development

- Encourage research activities, publications, and funded projects.
- Establish collaborations with national and international institutions.
- Promote innovation and evidence-based practices.

6. Financial & Resource Management

- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and infrastructure development.




- Ensure optimal utilization of institutional resources.

7. Student Affairs

- Ensure student welfare, discipline, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
- Promote extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain a conducive academic setting.

Eligibility Criteria (As per NMC Norms)

- Qualification :

- Recognized MD/MS degree in a medical discipline.

- Experience :

- Minimum 10 years of experience as Professor in a recognized medical college.

- Minimum 4 years of experience as Professor in a department with administrative exposure preferred.

- Age Limit :

- Preferably not exceeding 65-67 years at the time of appointment (as per prevailing norms).

- Publications :

- Significant research publications in indexed/national journals as per NMC requirements.

Compensation

- As per NMC guidelines and institutional norms (competitive with academic leadership roles in India)

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per month
