1. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage accounting and financial activities related to our factory and manufacturing operations. The candidate must have practical knowledge of manufacturing accounts, inventory management, production costing, GST, TDS, vendor payments, and financial reporting.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Factory & Manufacturing Accounting

- Maintain day-to-day factory accounts, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Record and verify raw material purchases, consumption, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of factory expenses, production costs, and manufacturing overheads.
- Assist in calculating product-wise manufacturing costs and cost per unit.
- Monitor expenses related to raw materials, packaging materials, labour, transportation, and production.
- Coordinate with the production and store teams to verify material movements and stock records.

B. Inventory & Stock Management

- Maintain accounting records for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliation between physical inventory and accounting records.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies, wastage, material shortages, and excess stock.
- Monitor material inward and outward records, purchase invoices, and stock transfers.




- Assist in maintaining proper documentation for stock audits.

C. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Handle GST-related accounting, reconciliation, and return preparation or filing.
- Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return-related documentation.
- Ensure accurate recording of tax invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and other supporting documents.
- Coordinate with external consultants and auditors for statutory compliance and audits.

D. Vendor & Financial Management

- Manage supplier ledgers, purchase bills, payment schedules, and outstanding balances.
- Perform bank reconciliation and vendor account reconciliation.
- Monitor factory cash expenses, utility bills, maintenance expenses, and other operational costs.
- Prepare monthly expense reports and assist with cash-flow planning.
- Support monthly closing, Profit & Loss reporting, and balance sheet schedules.

E. Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare monthly factory expense and inventory reports.
- Maintain proper records of invoices, purchase orders, goods receipt notes, and payment vouchers.
- Coordinate with the central accounts team, factory management, stores, and procurement departments.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and maintained within deadlines.





3. Qualifications & Experience

- B.Com or M.Com in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG company.
- Practical knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, and ledger scrutiny.
- Experience in inventory accounting, production costing, and stock reconciliation.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with factory operations.

4. Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with prior experience in an FMCG, food processing, packaging, or manufacturing factory.
- Experience handling raw material and finished goods accounting.
- Knowledge of material consumption, wastage, manufacturing overheads, and product costing.
- Robust analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.

5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of factory accounting and inventory records.
- Timely completion of stock and bank reconciliations.
- Accuracy of production cost and factory expense reports.
- Timely processing of vendor invoices and payments.
- Timely GST and TDS compliance.
- Identification and reporting of stock discrepancies and cost variances.
