ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a back-office role. You will work in the backend data of the trading business: every contract recorded correctly, and every sale order, purchase order and invoice raised on time.

Our backend runs on two systems: a master Excel sheet and Zoho. Your job is to keep both accurate, complete and in sync. The work is detail-heavy and deadline-driven. Documents have to go out as deliveries happen, not days later. If you are looking for an analyst or managerial role, this is not it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Enter every contract into the master Excel sheet: date, commodity, party, broker, quantity, rate, delivery terms and payment terms.

- Keep the master Excel and Zoho in sync, so both always reflect the same contracts and status.

- Generate sale orders, purchase orders and invoices in Zoho as deliveries come up or when required.

- Coordinate with parties and brokers to confirm contract details, delivery schedules and documentation.

- Apply correct accounting treatment while invoicing.

- Cross-check entries against contract confirmations and flag mismatches straight away.

- Track open contracts, pending deliveries and pending invoices, and keep the team updated.





- Maintain a clean record of all documents issued, so any contract can be traced from confirmation to invoice.

- Support the accounts team with reconciliations and data when required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 2-3 years of experience in accounts, back office or data management. Trading or commodity experience is a strong plus.

- CA Inter preferred. MBA (Finance) also considered.

- Working knowledge of Zoho (Zoho Books or similar) for invoices, sale orders and purchase orders.

- Strong accounting basics: purchase/sales entries, GST, invoicing, receivables and payables.

- Strong MS Excel skills: rapid, accurate data entry, plus VLOOKUP/ XLOOKUP, filters, pivots and basic formulas.

- Comfortable calling and following up with parties and brokers.

- Very high attention to detail, and a habit of checking your own work.

- Good English, Gujarati and Hindi.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

- Not a work-from-home role.

- Not a role where work can be pushed to the next day. When a delivery happens, the documents go out.
