Role & responsibilities

- Handle indirect procurement of MRO items, consumables, engineering spares, tools, PPE, office supplies, and maintenance materials.
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and create Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP MM.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and prepare comparative statements for commercial evaluation.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop current vendors to achieve cost savings.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, Stores, Finance, and other departments for procurement requirements.
- Handle service procurement, AMC, repair and maintenance contracts, and facility-related purchases.
- Monitor open purchase orders and resolve delivery and invoice discrepancies.
- Coordinate goods receipt, service entry sheets, and invoice verification with the concerned departments.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, and procurement reports in SAP.




- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, approval procedures, and audit requirements.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5+years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably in the manufacturing or automotive industry.
- Hands-on experience in SAP MM, including PR, PO, GR, SES, and open PO tracking.
- Experience in purchasing MRO items, engineering spares, consumables, tools, PPE, and maintenance-related materials.
- Strong vendor development, quotation evaluation, price negotiation, and cost-reduction skills.
- Knowledge of service procurement, AMC, repair and maintenance contracts.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting.
- Good communication, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage urgent purchase requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Candidates with experience in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA will be preferred.
