Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Thermal Systems Engineering - Manager to lead the design, development, simulation, validation, and optimization of advanced HVAC and thermal management systems for automotive and electric vehicle applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in vehicle climate control systems, heat pump technologies, refrigerant circuits, and thermal management, combined with team leadership and project management capabilities.

This role will drive the development of efficient thermal systems that enhance passenger comfort, vehicle efficiency, battery performance, and overall system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of Concept CAD layouts for HVAC system (EV).
- Check static fitment, interface & clearance on CAD.
- Preparation of 2D drawings & 3D CAD.
- Baselining the design in Teamcenter.
- Preparation of concept BOM, final BOM and release.
- Creating System layouts & design release.




- Solving interface concerns by collaboration with interface teams.
- Able to prepare SOR, SOW, CIR.
- Specify and finalize Component level, System level & Vehicle level DVP.
- Carryout technical discussion with Supplier.
- Able to compare cost & weight.
- Can perform Heat load calculations.
- Able to conduct Design reviews and can prepare DFMEA, DVP.
- Able to compile Lessons learnt.
- Co-ordinate with Validation for testing.
- Execute Quality improvement activities.
- Execute vehicle / system level testing activities.
- - Key Competencies/Skills

System level & CAD

- Hands-on experience on Catia V5 & V6.
- Hands-on experience on automotive HVAC system component design.
- Good Knowledge of GD & T, tooling, gauges, plastic molding, cleanliness, etc.
- Exposure to Teamcenter / similar PLM software’s.
- Expertise of automotive air conditioning system & powertrain cooling system.
- Expertise on heat load calculations, component selection of HVAC system.
- Should be able to analyze the HVAC system and component test results & discuss independently with Suppliers
- Able to conduct technical reviews with suppliers for freezing technical specifications and concern resolution.
