Role & responsibilities

- Collect, receive, label, and process blood and other biological samples as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine laboratory investigations in areas such as haematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, and serology, as per qualifications and assigned responsibilities.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and diagnostic instruments.
- Ensure proper sample identification, storage, transportation, and disposal.
- Maintain quality control records and participate in internal quality control procedures.
- Ensure accurate entry of patient details, test results, and other information in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Follow biosafety guidelines, infection control practices, and laboratory safety protocols.




- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laboratory and ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
- Monitor reagent stock, consumables, and expiry dates, and report shortages to the Lab In-charge.
- Identify and report abnormal results, sample discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and quality-related issues to the concerned supervisor.
- Coordinate with laboratory staff, phlebotomists, and other departments to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Maintain all laboratory registers, documentation, and records as required.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information and compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
