Clinic/Hospital Commissioning
Position Title: On-the-Ground Consultant (Healthcare Commissioning)
Contract Duration: 56 Months (Independent Consultant / Contractual)
Primary Location: Pune, Maharashtra (On-site required)
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to Mumbai
Experience Required: 10+ Years in Healthcare Operations / Hospital Setup & Commissioning
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced OTC to lead and oversee the end-to-end commissioning
of a current clinic/hospital facility in Pune. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of
operationalizing healthcare facilities from pre-launch planning through Go-Live.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can bridge clinical workflows, regulatory compliance,
vendor management, and administrative readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Launch & Operational Commissioning:
Define and execute the operational readiness plan for the new facility.
Establish clinical and administrative Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
across departments.
Coordinate spatial planning, patient flow design, and departmental workflows.
Regulatory & Quality Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with local healthcare regulations, municipal clearances,
and licensing requirements (e.g., Bombay Nursing Homes Registration Act,
Bio-Medical Waste Management, NABH standards).
Oversee quality assurance protocols prior to launch.
Vendor & Equipment Management:
Work alongside procurement teams for medical equipment installation,




calibration, sign-offs, and biomedical engineering integration.
Coordinate with infrastructure teams for facility handovers, IT integration
(HIS/EMR), and safety audits.
Manpower & Onboarding Strategy:
Collaborate with HR to structure clinical and non-clinical staffing models.

Oversee onboarding, clinical orientation, and mock-drill simulations prior to
Go-Live.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Serve as the central point of contact between leadership teams in Pune and
Mumbai.
Provide weekly progress updates, risk assessments, and milestone tracking to
senior management.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare,
specifically in setting up, launching, or managing clinics/hospitals.
Education & Credentials:
Preferred: Qualified Medical Doctor (MBBS / MD / MS) with administrative or
project execution experience.
Alternate: Senior Healthcare Management Professional (MHA / MBA in Hospital
Management or equivalent) with a proven track record in hospital commissioning.
Geographic Availability: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Pune for the contract
duration, with flexibility to travel to Mumbai as needed.
Key Competencies:
Deep understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks in Maharashtra.
Excellent leadership, vendor negotiation, and crisis-management skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex timelines.
